Ons wil jou persoonlik, asook die Motormark 2-span, bedank vir die goeie diens wat ons van julle ontvang het met die aankoop van die Mercedes Benz motor.

Nadat Charlene van Motormark drie weke gelede op Radio Rippel die luisteraars entoesiasties vertel het van die goeie kopies by Motormark, het ons besluit om julle te kontak vir meer inligting. Vandat ons jou geskakel het totdat ons met die motor kon huis toe ry, was ons baie professioneel en vriendelik behandel. Ons was deurentyd beindruk met die feit dat julle met integriteit optree terwyl daar ook aandag gegee word aan die klant se behoeftes.

Uitstekende diens, voortreflikheid en tevredenheid is wat ons ervaar het met die afhandeling van die transksie. Dankie dat julle die tweede myl loop met julle klante!

2. Die spoedige optrede met die verkoop van die ou voertuig en die aankoop van die
nuwe voertuig het seepglad verloop sonder haakplekke. Ek het die 3de Februarie
om 16:00 die ou voertuig ingeneem vir waardasie en Maandag die 6de
Februarie om 13:00 reeds my nuwe voertuig in besit gehad.

3. Dit was ‘n plesier om met Motormark besigheid te doen en sal in die toekoms al my
vriende en kennisse daarheen verwys.

Geagte Leser

Ek het op 21 Julie die gelukkige persoon geword om by julle mense (Motormark) ‘n voertuig aan te koop. Ek is nou die eienaar van 1996 Jetta CSX 1.8 wat “Spotless” is. Verkoopsman Willie Badenhorst het my bygestaan met al die nodige papierwerk, inligting en navrae. Adele van Niekerk het my vriendelik met die nodige raad bygestaan. Ek moet erken hierdie twee persone met wie ek gedeel het is top professioneel en weet wat hulle doen en kan net ‘n aanwins wees vir enige verkope.

Probleme wat daar was is herstel/reggestel deur julle werkswinkel sonder enige onaangenaamheid.

Ek sal verseker enige persoon wat ‘n voertuig wil aankoop in die toekoms, verwys na “Motormark”.

Nogmaals baie dankie vir al u dienste.

•Motormark’s premise are owned by the business. We therefore cannot just ‘pack- up- and- go’ in a flight by night action as we are a settled business with property interests.

• We are extremely selective when buying our cars. We only buy vehicles that qualify for financing and only from reputable suppliers with whom we have long-term business relationships. We never buy from auctions.

• All our vehicles are mechanically checked by our own workshop and pass a stringent roadworthy test before it is delivered to our clients.

• We do a HPI check on all our vehicles. This gives both us and the client peace of mind as it cuts down the possibility of the vehicle being stolen or one with outstanding finance.

• Our 1 month or 2000km warranty is part of the deal – at no extra cost. According to the agreement we have with our financial institutions, we only have to give a 1 month, 1000km warranty. To add value to the deal we give our clients, we decided to improve on this by giving a 1 month or 2000km warranty.

• Our service is backed by our own  dedicated workshop.

• In having our own workshop, you can come to us for your vehicle’s services, thus continuing the excellent service to your vehicle and professional relationship with Motormark.

• As a member of the Independent Dealer Association (IDA), we adhere to its code of conduct and strive to bring our client the best deal possible.

• We have a service orientated vision and strive towards having 100% happy client.

• Motormark is linked to the MIO (Motor Industry Ombudsman) to whom the client can go if an dispute arises. The MIO acts as an objective intermediary between the client and the company to ensure the fair adjudication of the situation.

• We can include an optional two year warranty product in our sales contract to bring you, the client, the best possible option with regards to mechanical coverage. Although we do our best to iron out all possible mechanical problems of the vehicle before we sell it to you, it has to be remembered that we buy and sell pre-owned vehicles and thus have no history, apart from the service history, if available, of the vehicle.

It is very important to make sure a pre-owned vehicle is in sound mechanical condition and very often, the buyer does not have enough general mechanical knowledge to ensure himself of a good buy. If at all possible, take along someone who does have a general mechanical knowledge.

To assist you in checking your prospective vehicle, follow this checklist:
Ask for service records to verify the vehicle’s maintenance
Go through the vehicle to check for rust. Doorsills, windows and headlight surrounds, under the carpets inside and in the boot are the most obvious places your might find rust.
Ask for an HPI check to see whether the vehicle was in an accident. Check on the vehicle itself for welding seams or re-spraying.
When looking under the bonnet, look for grayed wiring, an oily engine bay, cracked hoses and corroded battery terminals.
Remove the radiator cap and ask the salesman to start the engine from cold. If bubbles surface on the water, it could indicate a defective cylinder head gasket.
Is the windscreen free from cracks and chips?
Stand behind the vehicle and ask the salesman to start the engine. If blue/grey smoke emerges from the exhaust it might indicate worn valve guides or valve-stem oil seals. An enormous amount of smoke might indicate that the engine is in need of an overhaul.
If the black deposit in the car’s exhaust is wet, the engine is using oil. A dry black deposit is fine on a car running on unleaded fuel. Leaded fuel will result in a white deposit if the engine is tuned properly.
While the bonnet is open, listen to the engine. Not all engines idle smoothly – even when they’re new – but strange knocking or whining sounds must be investigated.
When test-driving the vehicle, do not switch the radio on. Test the indicators, wipers, gearbox, fan, pedals, lights etc. Make sure the vehicle accelerates smoothly and that there are no misfires.
Inspect the tyres for wear – unevenly worn tyres can indicate defective shock absorbers or suspension damage.
Don’t be shy to get down on your knees and check the CV joints. Is the protective covers in a good condition or are they worn? Drive a front-wheel driven vehicle slowly, turn full lock in both directions. A clicking sound will indicate worn CV joints.

Always remember that a vehicle is a mechanical instrument – it can break whether brand new or three years old. On the other hand, it can be 30 years old and, if well cared for, never give you a day’s problems!
